@adrifoster this review should take <10 minutes. It contains my changes to the SpinupStability script for ne16 and for FATES. I'm not sure if we're done modifying it, but we could also consider it done for now and open another PR if more changes become necessary. |

As something in contrib this seems straightforward enough to just merge it in.
It looks like you do have to uncomment the right lines for the simulation resolution. So that could be improved by figuring the resolution out.
But, I'd say it's OK to bring in now.
